Orchids and Other Exotica
San Diego International Orchid Fair
Sponsored by Quail Botanical Gardens, the 11th annual San Diego International Orchid Fair offers hundreds of Orchid species and hybrids, exhibits and sales, classes, lectures and AOS judging. Annual Fall Plant Sale
The largest and most diverse plant sale in San Diego County and QBG's oldest fundraiser. A large selection of house plants, cacti and succulents, landscape trees and shrubs, perennials, orchids, and more. Plants are donated by local premier growers and made available to you at great prices! Regular admission prices apply.

Circle of Life
Dia de los Muertos event with James Hubbell
Oct.29  9 AM – 5 PM
In the spirit of Halloween and Dia de los Muertos, the Gardens will be filled with workshops by local Latino and American artists. Wear a Halloween or traditional Mexican costume, play music with traditional instruments, create and take home art projects. Sponsored by James Hubbell's Ilan-Lael Foundation.
Regular admission prices apply.

Circle of Life Twilight Benefit
Oct. 29 4:30 PM
Open to the public by reservation, a twilight wine and cheese benefit with James and Anne Hubbell. Cost: $40 per person. Contact Olivia Hancock at or 619/231-0446.

Tim Flannery Concert
Oct. 30 5 – 8 PM
Enjoy a special evening concert in the Gardens with local favorite Tim Flannery and friends. Light supper at 5 PM, music from 6 – 8 PM. Tickets are $30 for non-members and $25 for members (prices include food). For information or tickets, call 760/436-3036 x 206.

Volunteer Orientation
Nov. 10 9:30 AM – Noon
Join us to learn about the many different volunteer opportunities at Quail Botanical Gardens. Includes a tour of the Gardens, a slide presentation on the Gardens' history and refreshments.

Open to all QBG members.

Garden of Lights
After the sun goes down, the Gardens are transformed into a dazzling winter wonderland with 90,000+ sparkling lights illuminating the plants and trees for a magical holiday experience. Numerous activities including holiday crafts, marshmallow roasting, visits with Santa, musicians and refreshments. Admission: Non-members $6, Members/Seniors/Students/Active Military $4, Children 3-12 $2, Children under 3 are free.

Gourd Class
Learn to clean, cut, pyro-engrave, paint and embellish your own one-of-a-kind gourd.
