Quail Botanical Gardens has rapidly become San Diego County's location of choice for a unique, picturesque and memorable outdoor wedding. With a mild year-round climate, the Gardens can be assured temperate most times of the year. We offer daytime weddings all year long and sunset weddings from April through October. We suggest the bride and groom visit the Gardens first to determine the best site for their needs, as many smaller areas are also suitable. To discuss further details such as available dates and times, or to make an appointment for a reservation, please call (760) 436-3036, ext 205. Click here for a downloadable wedding brochure.

Depending on the size of the group and ambience you're looking for, almost anywhere in the Gardens would be lovely-Bamboo grove, Children's Garden, Rain Forest-but some of the most popular and well-suited locations in the Gardens are:

Wedding Locations

The Victorian  Gazebo is in the center of the Gardens, near the entrance and visitor center. With its beautiful large lawn framed by borders of lush flowering plants and mature trees it is our largest site, accommodating up to 300 people for the ceremony and 250 for the reception. The Victorian Gazebo
The Walled Garden, is a more intimate location, enclosed with a lovely original adobe and tile wall and surrounded by lush ferns and trees. The family garden area of the Larabee's, the founders of Quail Botanical Gardens, it is adjacent to their home. This location can accommodate up to 100 people. The Walled Garden
The Waterfall View Deck is in the upper, more secluded area of the Gardens, and overlooks a three-story waterfall, surrounded by palm trees and many exotic tropical plants. This site is the most popular for a small ceremony as well as a great choice for group photos, accommodating up to 25 people. The Waterfall View Deck
